Potential breach of member financial information - NEC Coop
Mar 19, 2018 — News
Our financial institution, Frost Bank, has informed us there was an unauthorized access to their lockbox banking system earlier this week and that there is a potential that NEC’s lockbox could have been accessed.
This would only affect our members who make check payments by mail.
Frost is cooperating with law enforcement authorities and conducting a forensic investigation along with their IT Personnel to determine which of their customers’ information was accessed. They are not certain that any of our members’ information was compromised.
We wanted to let you know as soon as we were alerted so that you can monitor your accounts until we have the full information. We will stay in touch with you and let you know more as we are informed.
If you do suspect any fraudulent activity please call your financial institution immediately and alert them of the situation.
