Heavy rainfall can be expected through tonight as Tropical Storm Nicholas approaches the Texas Coast. 4-6 inches of rain is expected, higher amounts are possible. Flooding most possible in urban areas, small creeks & streams. A flashflood warning remains in effect.

Sunday, September 12 – 11:08 am

Tropical Storm Nicholas recently formed in the southern Gulf of Mexico. Winds are expected to peak near 65 mph. At this time, Nicholas is not expected to become a hurricane, but we’ll continue monitoring the weather forecast. Tropical storm force conditions could begin as early as Monday afternoon. We encourage our members, especially those on life support to prepare for the possibility of extended outages. If you’re power goes out, know who to call and contact your power line provider.
