UPDATE: Our new “SmartConnect” online account management system is expected to launch Thursday, July 13 at 8 a.m.

NEC Co-op Energy is upgrading to a new online account management system. Our new billing portal will include updates that will better serve our members, making it easier for you to:
  • View full account history and monthly
    energy usage
  • Enroll for service and other programs (like 50/50 referrals!)
  • Make real-time payments with our “SmartConnect” system
  • Enjoy an overall more user-friendly system
  • Read and understand your bill
There’s no action needed from you and your rate plan will not be affected, but you will be prompted to update your current online password after the launch.
Important dates to know: 
Thursday, July 6 at 5 p.m.: 
NEC Co-op Energy will stop accepting all payments.
Friday, July 7 & Monday-Wednesday, July 10-12:
Our offices will be undergoing training, but will be open for questions with limited staffing. However, we will not be able to accept any payments.
Thursday, July 13: 
We reopen with normal business hours and the online SmartConnect payment portal will begin accepting online payments.

** There will be NO disconnections for non-payment or late fees applied from Friday July 7 through Monday, July 17.
